A website for a London gallery

At the end of 2017 I was very pleased to be offered the chance to redesign and rebuild HackelBury Fine Art’s website.

HackelBury is home to a raft of incredible artists including William Klein and Chesapeake favourite Ian McKeever. Their website hadn’t changed much since the early 2000s so there was lots of work to do.

HackelBury are super engaged with keeping their site up-to-date so I built something that worked on a series of modules that could be created on the fly with a variety of content types that makes updating a cinch, but keeps the design within certain structures.

Another challenge and nice little feature on this site is an enquiry function that uses local storage to allow users to browse the site and build a list of works that interest them. This list can then be edited and sent on to the gallery.

The resulting site is elegant and engaging, focusing attention on the artists works, words and histories.
